No Matter Where You Come From

As we were riding from Friday's brunch, absolutely vibing with the songs that were on, my friend said something that stood out: "You know what? Music is just great. It doesn't matter if you're super-rich or poor. It doesn't matter where you come from. Music treats everybody the same. And it just makes everything better. "

If I would nod my head more at that moment, it would probably fall off my neck. I do love music a lot. I don't know if you can be addicted to it, but if that's a thing, I probably have it.

But don't get me wrong. Music is here for everybody, but it does depend on where you come from in the matter of culture. Every country has its kind, and I think that's beautiful. If there are only songs with English lyrics, that would probably be boring.

When you create music, it reflects everything. And that's a big part of why someone listens to a particular artist. What is more than a solidly written song based on a true story with raw human emotions? Oh, I live for that stuff. I even tried to write a piece myself once, didn't go that well.

It's a massive part of the movie industry, too. It gets you right into the mood it needs you to be in. It supports or even intensifies emotions well. If I didn't stress this enough by now, I think it's a huge part of our lives. I mean, how important is it to choose the right song for your wedding (not that I know)? We even choose (sometimes) what music we are saying goodbye to.

As I was trying to think of other leading examples, the first that came to mind was dancing and singing. Both include music. Coincidence?! Another great one is reading. No matter where in the world you are, you can always sneak into the magical world of Harry Potter or go back in time with Pride and Prejudice or Little Women.

No matter your skin color, origin, or social status. Music speaks all languages. And I honestly am so grateful that I can enjoy it. And it's beautiful how significant for our society it is and has been for decades.

Is there something else you can think of that feels the same?
